The MZ-RH1 builds on the success of Sony's earlier MiniDisc players but adds several new features, taking digital audio playback to the next level in the process. The sleek and slim audio player plays digital files downloaded in Linear PCM, ATRAC, ATRAC3, ATRAC3plus, and MP3 formats, but also serves as a pocket-sized MiniDisc recording studio for live concerts and other occasions. This stylish player lets you store up to 5 hours of digital music and bring it with you on a single, skip-free MiniDisc for about the price of a large coffee. The Net MD is compatible with MP3, WMA, WAV, and ATRAC3 audio formats, and it even comes with a MiniDisc so you can start recording right away. Its USB connection delivers burn rates at up to 32x for your MP3s and CDs. A handy Jog Dial provides easy navigation, and SonicStage and MD Simple Burner Application software let you group your tunes and customize your playing environment.

The player's 3-line LCD display provides album, artist and song title information on a clean, single screen. A headphone jack and headphones are included, but not the single AA battery, which you'll need to take the device away from your computer. Battery life is estimated at a whopping 56 hours (maximum).

NOTE: The Net MD's recording features and bundled software are not compatible with the Mac OS operating system.

Sony's MZ-E60 Minidisc Walkman offers 40-second antiskip memory and an automatic volume limiter system (AVLS) that maintains consistent volume levels for clean sound reproduction. Playback options include normal, repeat 1 or all, and shuffle. The digital Mega Bass system produces deep low-end tones with virtually inaudible harmonic distortion.

The Sony MZ-E60 runs on a single AA battery, and the average battery life clocks in at approximately 12 hours. The supplied headphones plug directly into the slim LCD remote control. The remote, which can slip into your pocket, provides track information and battery life, and it controls volume and disc operations. A carrying pouch is included as well.

Sony provides a warranty of one year on parts and 90 days on labor. The new models of MD Walkman have attained extremely small size and lightweight through the development of a new optical pickup that has fewer components and through further integration of electrical circuits. This Jacket Size MD Walkman Player slips easily and securely into jacket or coat pocket and is easy to hold and carry. It also features a stereo mini jack for headphones. Automatic Volume Limiter System (AVLS) maintains volume output below strong signal levels, for listener comfort.
